The Survival specialisation is currently the best performing of the hunter specialisations. It does more single target and multiple target DPS than both Beast Mastery and Marksmanship. Additionally, it has a very easy to perform rotation and it is not too affected by high movement encounters.

The advantages listed above, as well as the raid buff that Survival provides, makes it the hunter specialisation of choice in current content.
