In this article, we present you with various talent trees for Assassination Rogues (WoW 4.3) that you can use in specific situations. We also give you pointers for customising your talent tree and adapting it to a particular boss. 1. Standard Talent Build↑top

The following build takes all the necessary DPS talents for an Assassination Rogue. As we will see in the next section, a few talent points can be invested in different optional utility talents.

2. Customising Your Build↑top

The talent build that we listed above will yield the best DPS results. There is little room for customisation (other than moving talent points between survival talents), as we explain in the following sections.

2.1. Talents

In the following image, the fixed talents have been hightlighted in green, while the optional talents have been hightlighted in red:

As you can see, there are 5 talent points that can be freely spent (though 3 of them must be spent in the Assassination tree). We advise you to invest them in the following talents:

• Quickening, which increases healing effects on you by 10% or 20%, depending on whether you choose to invest 1 or 2 points in it, and increases your movement speed;
• Deadly Brew, which gives your poisons a chance to also apply Crippling Poison;
• Deadened Nerves, which reduces the damage you take;
• Precision, which increases your chances to hit with melee attacks and poisons, meaning that you will need less Hit Rating to reach the hit cap. This turns into a DPS gain, as you will need to reforge less valuable offensive stats into Hit Rating. Even if you have enough Hit Rating on your gear to reach the hit cap without reforging, you should still invest points in Precision, so that you can reforge your extra Hit Rating into valuable offensive statistics.

The most common variations with these talents are:

• 2/2 Quickening, 1/2 Deadly Brew, and 2/2 Precision (the build presented above);
• 1/2 Quickening, 2/2 Deadly Brew, and 2/2 Precision;
• 3/3 Deadened Nerves and 2/2 Precision.

2.2. Glyphs

Choosing your Glyphs as an Assassination Rogue is extremely straightforward.

2.2.1. Prime Glyphs

Your Prime Glyphs should be:

• Glyph of Backstab, which increases your Energy regeneration when using Backstab;
• Glyph of Mutilate, which reduces the Energy cost of Mutilate;
• Glyph of Rupture, which increases the duration of Rupture.

2.2.2. Major Glyphs

Your Major Glyphs should be:

• Glyph of Feint, which reduces the Energy cost of Feint;
• Glyph of Fan of Knives, which increases the radius of Fan of Knives;
• Glyph of Tricks of the Trade, which removes the Energy cost of Tricks of the Trade and reduces the damage bonus that the recipient receives.

If you will not be using Fan of Knives, then you should replace Glyph of Fan of Knives with Glyph of Sprint, which increases your movement speed while using Sprint.

2.2.3. Minor Glyphs

Your Minor Glyphs should be:

• Glyph of Blurred Speed, which enables you to run on water, when using Sprint;
• Glyph of Poisons, which decreases the time it takes you to apply your poisons;
• Glyph of Safe Fall, which reduces the damage you take from falls.
