The Marksmanship specialisation provides sustained single-target DPS as well as good AoE DPS. Compared to the other two Hunter specialisation, Marksmanship is behind Survival in both single target and AoE, and it is roughly equal to Beast Mastery.

Marksmanship Hunters bring few useful buffs to raids, and, in the current stage of PvE content, it is more efficient to play Survival or Beast Mastery.
