Welcome to our Restoration Shaman healing guide for World of Warcraft 4.3. Here, you will learn everything you need to know about playing a Restoration Shaman in a raid environment, though most of the content also applies to normal and heroic dungeons.

Restoration Shamans are neither pure tank healers or pure raid healers. Rather, they shine when they have to do both at once, as there is a high synergy between their single-target and AoE heals. Also, their main strength is their ability to efficiently heal players that are low on health.

Restoration Shamans are often misunderstood by raid leaders, who prefer to either assign them a fixed role or drop them in favor of another healing class to which they can assign a fixed role.

We believe that Restoration Shamans make a worthy addition to any raid, thanks to their abilities to complement other healers. Also, they bring a wide array of buffs, through their many totems.
