Welcome to our Beast Mastery Hunter DPS guide for World of Warcraft 4.3. Here, you will learn everything you need to know about playing a Beast Mastery Hunter in a raid environment, though most of the content also applies to normal and heroic dungeons.

In terms of pure DPS, the Beast Mastery specialisation is inferior to Survival and on par with Marksmanship, in single target situations. In multiple target situations, Beast Mastery falls behind Survival and produces roughly the same results as Marksmanship (although Beast Mastery AoE is more difficult to perform properly). However, certain fights or fight mechanics may favour playing Beast Mastery; typically when there is a lot of movement (because a large part of a Beast Mastery Hunter's damage is done by their pet).

Beast Mastery Hunters have a rotation that is very easy to perform. They also bring the +3% increased damage raid buff, which is currently underrepresented. Finally, Beast Mastery Hunters have access to a great variety of rare pets, which enables them to provide more buffs, debuffs, and useful abilities than other hunters.
